What to Expect at Your First Appointment

When you visit us at Better Hearing Audiology you will always be greeted by a friendly face. You will have some light paperwork to fill out and then our audiologist will bring you back for your appointment.

Discussion

We will begin with a conversation. Our goal is to get to know you and what your hearing needs are. We’ll go over your family history, medical history, and what you are looking to achieve from your appointment.

Ear Exam

After our discussion then we will perform an ear exam by looking at your ear canal and eardrum with an otoscope.

Testing

Once we’ve ensured your ears are clear of any built-up earwax then we will perform a diagnostic hearing test. We will have you put on a pair of headphones and sit in our sound booth where we will play varying sounds and tones at different frequencies.

Results

We will go over the results of your hearing exam and discuss what kind of options we believe would be appropriate for you.
