At Better Hearing Audiology, we provide complete hearing healthcare to patients of all ages. We will never pressure you to get hearing aids. At our hearing center we can administer a hearing test and we will go over your hearing history to determine how hearing loss affects your day-to-day life. Tinnitus

Tinnitus, also known as “ringing in the ears,” can be disruptive to your daily life. Millions of Americans suffer from tinnitus. Those with symptoms describe it as a ringing, humming, whistling, or whooshing sound that is heard in your head. If tinnitus is bothering you, we can perform a tinnitus test during your audiological evaluation. We offer a variety of tinnitus treatments, including hearing aids with a tinnitus masking feature. Together, we can help stop the ringing in your ears.

Hearing Aid Fittings

We offer a wide range of hearing aids at our hearing clinic. After your audiological evaluation, we will recommend a pair of hearing aids that we believe will help you hear and communicate better. We will then expertly fit and program your hearing aids to your individual hearing needs.

Hearing Aid Repair Services

If something isn’t working quite right with your hearing aids, bring them in and we can fix them. Whether you need an adjustment to the programming or you need a dome replaced, we can help you. We can make some minor repairs in office but for more serious repairs we can send your hearing aids to the manufacturer for you to be fixed.

Hearing Aid Cleanings

Your hearing aids sit inside your ears all day, every day. To ensure your devices continue to work properly it’s important to bring them in on a regular basis for a professional cleaning. Dirt, dust, dead skin cells, and earwax can build up in the tiny components of your hearing aids, causing them to malfunction. We can expertly clean your devices so they continue to perform their best for you.

Custom Earmolds and Earplugs

One of the most common causes of hearing loss in individuals of all ages is loud noise exposure. Noise-induced hearing loss can develop regularly as a result of repeated exposure to loud sounds or it can happen suddenly from an extremely loud sound.

At Better Hearing Audiology, we provide a wide range of custom earmolds and earplugs that can be fit to your unique ear shape. These earplugs will provide you with exceptional hearing protection, so you can be proactive about your hearing health.

Pediatric Services

At Better Hearing Audiology, we provide hearing services for children 1 year and older. Hearing loss in children is incredibly common. In fact, approximately 1 in every 1,000 children are born with hearing loss. We offer the following pediatric services at our office in Albuquerque, NM.

Pediatric Audiological Evaluation: All of our diagnostic audiological evaluations are performed by a licensed audiologist. We can test your child’s hearing and determine the cause and severity of their hearing loss.

Pediatric Hearing Aid Services: We offer pediatric hearing aids that can help your child hear better and will also help with their speech development. We use real-ear measurement to ensure your child’s hearing aids are the perfect fit. Many of the hearing aids we carry for children come with a customizable earmold, so we can change the earmold as your child grows.

Cerumen Removal

Cerumen (earwax) can build-up inside your ear canal and cause discomfort and temporary hearing loss. If you are suffering from clogged ears due to excessive earwax, we can help you. Our audiologist can safely remove earwax in our office.
